Herman is a very early-season plum, ripening in mid-July in southern England. The fruits have a blue-black colour, and yellow flesh

Herman is very versatile. It can be eaten fresh, or alternatively pick when still firm for use in the kitchen.

Herman is a free-stone plum - the stone falls away easily from the flesh.
